29 Aug 2009 - Love at first site.....

This is how my camping has been done for a number of years.... Load the car with
passengers, load the trailer with gear..... then we are off for a week or two of
camping, and sleeping in tents, and roughing it in most ways.







26 Aug 2009 - While on my way to work I spotted the back doors of a large blue truck in a car dealers lot. So after work I went back to the dealers lot to check it out more.








The truck turns out to be a 1981 GMC Step Van P 30 with 27,832 kilometes on it.

Apparently the truck was previously owned by the Winnipeg Police Department and used as their Emergency response Unit. It was retired from service in 1999 with 24,000 km on it, and mostly sat in a garage. So by time I bought it, 10 years later, there had been an extra 3,000 km put on it.
